Station Cafe

OUR STORY
Ramesh Manian discovered the joy of cooking in 2007 and after an untold amount of wasted ingredients, got the hang of gourmet cooking and began to cook for people outside his family. Slowly his passion for cooking increased and he started to apprentice at Brunello, an Italian restaurant in Menlo Park, CA, under the guidance of Ignazio Melis. In the summer of 2010, Ramesh learned that a deli was for sale soon after that, Station Cafe in San Carlos was born in November 2010. At Station Cafe, Ignazio and Ramesh share the passion for tasty and healthy dishes at affordable prices in a relaxed cafe environment. They also are keen on creating new flavors and tastes by careful combination of international cuisines. They pledge to work toward this ideal on a daily basis. Please visit us and experience great food while browsing books that famous people read in their lives or while browsing the Net or inspecting some beautiful art.

Chef Ignazio Melis brings with him 25+ years of experience in the art of Italian cooking. His specialties include homemade pasta, seafood and delicate meats, typical of the region he is from, Sardinia.

Ramesh can be seen there in the evenings waiting tables, being a barista or in the kitchen.
